Baptism Day Anniversaries

Smarty Pants' Baptism Day 2012 EDITED

This is just a quick and easy idea for you if you’re looking for a simple way to celebrate your child’s Baptism Day.  First, enter the date of each of your children’s Baptism Days on your calendar, otherwise the day will come and go and you’ll forget.  I know that sounds silly, but it’s true, right?  Life is so busy with kids!  Keep all the Baptismal candles and white garments in an easy-to-find storage spot.  I keep my children’s in their keepsake boxes which are stored on a bookshelf in our basement play area.

After dinner, light the Baptismal Candle and sing “Happy Baptism Day to You” to the tune of “Happy Birthday to You.”  Get out some photos from their baptism and “Ooh” and “Aah” at how adorable they looked.  Getting out the Baptism Certificate is fun too.

And that’s it!  A special dessert is nice, too, but as you can see in this photo, Smarty Pants was pleased as punch with just a song and a little extra attention on his day.
