It occurred to me recently that my children do not know The Memorare, so to celebrate the Blessed Mother’s Birthday, I designed these prayer cards on PicMonkey, printed them out, and laminated them. Laminating makes the average printed piece of paper special, ya know. We had dinner after school and then prayed the Memorare aloud together. Then we sang “Happy Birthday Mother Mary” and blew out five candles, one for each child. A big hunk of carrot cake with a quarter inch of buttercream icing and the kids were so very happy. It was a lovely and simple way to celebrate The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I hope they’ll always remember these special days.
